Below are some of the rule changes that have been talked about in the state. I will include more when they become available.

1. It is now permissable for the defensive team to substitute on a corner kick if the attacking team is also substituting players.

2. The overtime procedure for playoff games has been changed to 2 15-minute golden goal overtime periods. If the teams are still tied, then it goes to penalty kicks.

3. There are now guidelines for teams that wish to pad their goal posts. It is not mandatory to pad the goal posts, but if a school decides to do it, they should contact the OHSAA for guidelines.
